Red Devils recall 2011 season
Mike Tessier
What was your proudest moment from this year’s basketball season?
I have several favorites. One, was seeing our underclassmen come so far and improve as players. The second, was winning the third place game at the District Tournament by 40 points [over Two Eagle River]. We shot 72 percent from the field for that game. Finally, winning the Thompson Falls game is always exciting.
What was your team’s biggest challenge? How did they respond?
We had a tough start to the season due to injury. By mid January we started getting healthy and we really came together as a team.
In what areas did you see the most improvement?
Our team really learned hot to play together over the course of the year. SO playing as a team and shooting the ball were huge improvements for us.
When and how did you see the greatest character exhibited by your team?
Again, we had a tough start, but we stayed together and stayed focused. We showed a lot of character in never throwing in the towel and we were playing our best at the end.
What are you looking forward to the most about next season?
We have a lot of good returning varsity players. We are looking forward a good run next year.
