Sanders County Sheriff's Report
3/6/11 11:31 a.m. – Loud music was said to be coming from a house on Park St. for about two hours.
3/6/11 12:31 p.m. – A reporting party stated that their 17-year-old daughter had left home last night and has not returned. The caller said he may have some possible locations of where she might be and she had been contacting her ex-boyfriend by text messaging. The reporting party signed her as a runaway to an officer.
3/7/11 11:16 a.m. – A reporting party from Sandy’s 2nd Hand Store said that over 400 movies have been stolen from her store and first noticed them missing in January. She said she has done two inventories since then and they are not accounted for, and wants a report for documentation in case the stolen movies are returned.
3/7/11 1:09 p.m. – A small grass fire was reported along Highway 200 near mile marker 13 near the railroad tracks and Dixon Café.
3/7/11 2:15 p.m. – A report of a dog attacking another dog while on a leash with its owner was called into dispatch. The attacked dog went to a vet in Plains. The owner did not want to be responsible for the possibility of the other dog being put down.
3/9/11 3:12 p.m. – A reporting party called in a complaint of a neighbor’s dog being at his residence and dragging his garbage around the yard, and also noted the other owner locked her own dogs out of her yard.
3/9/11 11:14 p.m. – A reporting party on Prospect Creek Rd. advised that a vehicle just struck a tree in her driveway; her friend went to the truck and said no medical attention was needed.
3/10/11 11:10 a.m. – A report of a male entering a residence on Prospect Creek Rd. did not knock and was supposedly selling produce. The suspect had to enter through two closed doors to gain entry.
3/11/11 – A reporting party at Central and Clayton St. said she heard someone suspicious trying to get in her apartment door.
3/11/11 2:59 p.m. – A report came in to dispatch from an officer that she had a juvenile male trying to buy marijuana from her on Woodland St.
3/12/11 10:42 a.m. – The report of 2 people in the Clark Fork River along Highway 200 near Munson Creek Rd. came into dispatch. The party overturned an aluminum boat. One female was out of the water on shore and cold, but not injured. Ten minutes later both people were out of the water.
3/12/11 3:55 p.m. – Daniele Booth reported to dispatch said that Larry Ballentine assaulted him in front of the Sinclair gas station. Officers responded to Booth’s call after Ballentine had left the location of the incident.
