Bobcats continue to dominate in second victory
<p>The Bobcat defense played lights out against Seeley-Swan, giving up only two touchdowns. </p>
The Superior Bobcats kept on cruising through their 2012 season on Friday against Seeley-Swan.
Junior Anthony Parkin put the Bobcats on the board early in the first quarter with a 13 yard touchdown reception from senior quarterback Billy Smith and the speedy Superior squad never looked back.
Cole Karrow, a junior, capped off a long scoring drive with a three yard touchdown run in the first. Senior Adam Kay was found by Smith for a 30 yard touchdown pass and reception to cap off the first quarter.
The Bobcats led 22-6 at the end of the first and carried the momentum into the second quarter. Smith once again found Kay for a 29 yard touchdown strike before finding his feet and putting two in on the ground with a one and 49 yard run.
Going into the half, Superior led 46-6 and the route was on.
Superior Head Coach Alan Labbe let his upperclassmen rest for the second half, but that didn’t stop the Bobcats from once again finding the end zone as sophomore Wyatt Zylawy scored on an eight yard run.
In the fourth, freshman Ian Stewart tackled a Seeley-Swan player behind his own pylons for a safety to cap off the victory 56-12.
Smith led the Bobcats with nine carries for 83 yards and was also 8 for 18 passing with 117 yards. Karow rushed for 58 yards in 10 attempts and Parkin had 41 yards receiving on five catches.
The Bobcats are now 2-0 and will host Victor on September 7 for their homecoming game.
