Completion of the Two River Apartment complex in St. Regis is set for the last weekend of October.

The eight-apartment complex, which is classified as tax credit housing, is owned by the Human Resource Council and is managed by Sparrow Management.

“You have to income qualify,” Kassie Wasley, property manager, said. “As your household size increases, your income limit increases. But you have to make under that to live there.”

Wasley added that applications are currently being accepted in hopes to have the apartments filled by November.

“I would like to start qualifying people now,” Wasley said. “That way when the apartments are completed they will already have the necessary paperwork filled out and be ready to move in.”

The traditional application fee has been waived and after Wasley receives the application, the company performs a credit and background check on potential residents.

“Once that comes back ok we have to prove to the state that these households qualify and make under the income limit,” Wasley said.

Two River will have two one-bedroom apartments, two two-bedroom apartments and four three-bedroom apartments available for qualified applicants to rent.

“They (Two River Apartments) are providing quality housing for residents of Mineral County at an affordable price,” Wasley said.

Interested households are encouraged to stop by the Superior Commons office or call 822-5230.
