Dixon

It’s surely “Springtime in the Rockies”.Aren’t we enjoying this changing weather? I spotted the first dandelions this week, and I have a bud on a daffodil! Various bugs have appeared in and out of the house...lots of action in the sky with geese headed for our rivers and refuge, and the eagle-eyes of many predators.

Please note the change in Monday’s meal time. It will be served from 5:30-6:00 (beginning April 1, changing from 5 p.m.). Thursday’s lunch is still at noon. Come for a ride along our part of Scenic Highway 200 and enjoy a meal with friends in Dixon. Treat your cook and bring your family or a neighbor. Meals are only $4.00 and take-outs are available.

Just look at this menu!

Thurs. Apr. 4 Chicken pot pie

Mon. Apr. 8 Sweet/sour meatballs; liver & onions

Thurs. Apr. 10 Brunch! Broccoli quiche, pancakes, bacon

Mon. Apr. 15 Reuben Sandwiches

The traveling pinochle players have returned to their spring schedule of playing at the various senior centers at 6:30 now. Just in time to come for dinner at 5:30. They will be at our center on the 4th Monday of each month. The latest scores are: Darlene Solomon as the high scorer, Candy Cook was the low scorer, and Rex Sands had the most pinochles Ray Solomon was the winner of the door prize.

Thanks, visitor John Day from Plains, for entertaining us with some very enjoyable piano playing while awaiting our lunch last week!

We hope to see you at the center soon!
