Elsie Callan St. Germaine

Elsie Callan St. Germaine, 75, of Plains, MT, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013. Born on October 16, 1937 in Sisseton, SD, she was raised by Roy and Ila Vorce of Hot Springs, SD.

After graduating from Hot Springs High School (South Dakota) she attended the University of Montana.

She married Daron St. Germaine in 1957 and they were married until his death in 1998. She then reunited with her high school classmate Gary Callan and they married in 2002. After Gary died in 2011 she returned to Montana to be with her family.

Her five children and grandchildren fondly remember Elsie sitting at the piano for hours playing her favorite pieces like “Fur Elise”; spending many summers fly fishing and camping up Little Thompson River; playing cards, especially Canasta and Pinochle; family football Sundays; and scorekeeping for her children’s baseball and softball games, as well as attending the many sporting events of her children and grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her daughter Michele St. Germaine Mills.

She is survived by daughter DeeDee (Gary) Revier, sons Daron (Susan) St. Germaine Jr, Bradley St. Germaine, and Jourdan (MaryLynn) St. Germaine, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran Church of Plains at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 with Pastor Grant Applehans officiating. All whose lives she touched are invited to attend.

Sunset Hill Funeral Homes of Plains is in charge of arrangements.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Jon and Shelby Zigler of Mountain View Manor for their beloved care in the final year of her life.
