Gone a matter of hours
At approximately 4 a.m. a call came over the scanner that a property on Upper Lynch Creek Road was completely engulfed in flames. Plains-Paradise Rural Fire and Plains City Fire responded to the call. The house was completely destroyed while some of the garage managed to be saved. According to Plains-Paradise Rural Fire Captain, Pat Erving, firefighters were on scene fighting the blaze for five hours. The occupants were able to escape the house without injury. According to Erving, everything above ground fell into the basement are where it continued to smolder for hours. A cause remains unknown.
