‘Carnival of Hope’ has been selected by local residents as the theme for this year’s Mineral County Relay For Life.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on June 28, nearly 200 people will gather at the Superior High School track for opening ceremonies to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against a disease that threatens the lives of so many.

In more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries around the world, Relay For Life events comprise the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is an organized community fundraising walk where teams of people camp-out around the football field while team members take turns walking the track. Throughout this overnight event, food, games and activities will provide entertainment, build camaraderie and raise awareness about what we can do to stay well and fight against cancer.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to become a part of Relay.

There is an opportunity for everyone to be involved - join a team, sign up as a survivor, join the planning committee, dedicate a luminaria, make a donation, or simply ‘show up’ the night of Relay.

When you walk with us to end cancer, it’s your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones, you also help raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world’s largest walk to end cancer.

Join the ‘Carnival of Hope’.
