Presentation on pesticide use and safety to be held in Thompson Falls

| February 21, 2013 10:21 AM

The Sanders County Horticultural Society kicks off its second year on Saturday, February 23, 2013 with a presentation on Pesticide Use and Safety from John Halpop MSU Extension/Sanders County at the Thompson Falls Christian Church.

Last year members completed questionnaires on topics they’d like to learn more about, which generated the 2012 seminar series, field trips and demonstrations.

Sanders County Master Gardener Charlotte Beaudry promises this year’s agenda to be just as interesting as last year’s.

Future programs will cover seed saving, home lawns, woodlot management, ornamental pruning and a weed grass ID field walk.

New members are encouraged to join and participate in the ongoing series of gardening related topics. Membership is free, however please call the MSU Extension office at 827-6934 if you plan to attend. Classes are held monthly from February through October.
