Rose Piatkowski

St. Regis-Rose Piatkowski, 84, passed away on Mon. Feb. 18, 2013 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula of natural causes.

Rose was born Feb. 27, 1928 to George and Anna Evanko in Perth Amboy, NJ where she lived with her four sisters Helen, Mary, Betty and Ann.

On Sept. 25, 1948 she married Michael E. Piatkowski and moved to Edison, NJ in 1958 and raised seven children. Michael passed in 1977. Rose continued to live there until she moved to St. Regis, MT in 2006 to be in the mountains, closer to Heaven.

Rose was a homemaker and mother extraordinaire, loving, great cook, selfless, great sense of humor, loved her bingo, and many more attributes too numerous to mention.

Rose is survived by her loving family Michael G. (Rosemary) Piatkowski of Bayville, NJ; Bruce Piatkowski, Carol (Steve) Young, Gary Piatkowski all of St. Regis. Joyce (John) Pienciak of Deborgia, MT, George Piatkowski of Vero Beach, FL; Patty Piatkowski of Missoula, MT; Grandchildren Jennifer, Michelle, Jill, Diana, William, Steven, and seven great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be celebrated and a remembrance reception will take place at a later date.
