Almost two months have passed since Dustin Goebel went missing and friends continue to leave messages on the 21-year-olds Facebook wall, wishing him a Happy New Year and asking for him to contact them.

According to the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, Goebel is still considered a missing person and they have not received any new information involving the investigation.

Goebel was last seen in the Superior area on Nov. 24 and Mineral County Sheriff Ernie Ornelas encouraged anyone who may have seen or heard from him since then to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

“The family is very concerned,” Sheriff Ornelas said. “We haven’t received any substantial information and because of his health issues and the change in weather it has become a major concern.”

Sheriff Ornelas added that if anyone in the community has seen Goebel since Nov. 24 it will give the Sheriff’s Office a better idea of where to start looking for him.

“We received possible information that he went to Corpus Christi (Texas),” Sheriff Ornelas said. “But we checked with Greyhound and they have nothing in their database showing a ticket was purchased using his name.”

Sheriff Ornelas added that authorities and Goebel’s family residing in Corpus Christi have been notified to be on the lookout for the missing male.

According to information provided by the Sheriff’s Office, Goebel is a white 5’10” male weighing approximately 150 pounds with light brown hair and green eyes.

Goebel has been placed on a missing persons directory and Sheriff Ornelas said that if he is found or stopped by authorities a search of his name will identify him as missing.
