Sanders County Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were investigated by local authorities and the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office.
Traffic:
December 27 at 6:56 p.m. at Little Bitterroot Road. Reporting party advises vehicle in ditch, non-injury, and non-blockage. Advises she would like to arrange for a tow.
December 30 at 12:50 a.m. at Thompson River Road mile marker 15. Report of a one-vehicle accident. Both airbags deployed. A husband, wife and two small children were in the car and have been picked up by family members. Advises MHP.
December 30 at 9:44 a.m. at Spruce Street/Preston Avenue. Reporting party advises there is a gray car parked in the middle of the street next to the Catholic Church. No city officers on duty.
December 31 at 6:55 p.m. at Highway 200 near mile marker 8 or 9. Reporting party advises of erratic driver who had the vehicle all over the road. Advises the car is a black Dodge Chrysler with Montana plates. Reporting party is willing to sign a complaint.
December 31 at 9:39 p.m. at South Hill Road/Mcarthur Way. Reporting party advises a vehicle slid off the road. Unknown damage.
December 1 at 7:17 a.m. at I90 mile marker 33 eastbound. Reporting party states a non-injury accident with a semi truck occurred due to an abandoned SUV blocking the eastbound lanes. Gave information to MHP.
December 1 at 10:14 a.m. at an undisclosed location. Reporting party states he was trying to do an intervention on a female with her family members and the female fled the scene in a blue Subaru Legacy with her eight year-old child. As the female was leaving she hit the reporting party’s rental car causing damage. Called back advising they would like to withdraw their complaint.
January 1 at 2:20 p.m. at Highway 200 mile marker 79. Report of a one-vehicle accident with injury and non-blockage. First page Plains ambulance.
January 4 at 5:36 p.m. at Cherry Creek. Vehicle in the middle of the hill. Male subject is in the vehicle, unknown if he is disabled.
January 4 at 5:53 p.m. at Highway 93 and Highway 28. Lake County advises that a silver Grand AM was going in excess of 100 mph with sparks coming from the tires.
January 5 at 4:42 p.m. at Highway 200 mile marker 8. Reporting party states he hit a deer. The deer is badly injured and is in the edge of the river. Vehicle has damage but is drivable. Advises MHP.
January 6 at 4:49 p.m. at 2100 block of Main Street West; traffic stop; citation issued for operate without current registration.
January 7 at 12:34 p.m. at Highway 200, mile marker 58; traffic stop; citation issued for speeding.
January 8 at 1:07 a.m. at Highway 200 mile marker 59 1/2; traffic accident; reporting party advises her vehicle struck a large rock in middle of Highway 200 - just west of sheep viewing area, non-injury but damage to vehicle; she has pulled off to wide spot; no offenses.
January 9 at 3:48 a.m. at Highway 200 and 212; traffic accident; reporting party advises took report from TLO of one vehilce over guard rail Highway 200 and Highway 28; no one around vehicle at this point; no offenses.
January 9 at 12:14 p.m. at Cornerstone Convenience; traffic stop; citation issued for driving while suspended or revoked.
January 9 at 1:06 p.m. at Lower Lynch; traffic accident; report of vehicle slide-off non-injury; advised MHP; no offenses.
January 9 at 8:19 p.m. at Combest Creek Rd; traffic report; reporting party advises there was a vehicle drag racing; followed vehicle; vehicle stopped and a young man got out and approached his vehicle; reporting party advised that is when he called 911; reporting party advises he felt threatened that the male was going to assault him but they just talked and everything is fine; Missoula plates; no offenses.
January 10 at 7:38 a.m. at Blue Slide Rd; reporting party advises school bus driver advised him of two vehicle accident at Graves Creek and Blue Slide one injured; both conscious; ambulance dispatched; no offenses.
January 10 at 8:33 a.m. at Highway 200 mile marker 97; report of log truck slide off non-injury; MHP advises from Lake County DOT advised blockage but they will flag traffic til MHP gets there; no need for medical or fire; no offenses.
January 10 at 9:51 a.m. at Highway 200 mile marker 42, 43, 44; traffic accident; vehicle vs. deer non-injury; vehicle is drivable; no offenses.
January 10 at 11:32 a.m. at Higheay 200 mile marker 105; reporting party states a rock from sander truck broke out his windshiled in two different places; advised MHP; no offenses.
January 10 at 2:49 p.m. at Doug’s Drug Main St; reporting party states a truck went around him as he was stopped at crosswalk to let pedestrian cross the road; no offenses.
January 11 at 12:45 p.m. at Main St; red SUV passed logging truck on Main Street doing Mock 10; no one in position; no offenses.
January 11 at 8:29 p.m. at West Rd; traffic stop; citation issued for possession of dangerous drugs.
Arrests Made:
January 8 at 5:23 a.m. at Spring St; reporting party advises there is a female beating on her doors threatening her; reporting party ran to neighboring residence across the street to be safe until officer gets there; location of disturbance; one adult female in custody; window broken; distrubance/non-domestic; criminal mischief.
