Sanders County sheriff’s report 01/13 – 01/19
Ambulance:
January 14 at 3:27 p.m. at Grove Street. Report of an elderly female who will not answer her door. The female can be seen on the floor inside of the residence. First page Thompson Falls ambulance.
January 14 at 5:49 p.m. at Highway 200. Reporting party advises they picked up a male around 20 years old on the side of the highway that was nude and did not know how he ended up at the location without clothes. Reporting party advises he believed the male might be from Eureka. Paged Noxon ambulance. Reporting party gave subject some clothes and is waiting in the vehicle.
January 14 at 8:47 p.m. at Central Avenue. Male requests transport to Clark Fork Valley Hospital for a mental evaluation. Advises that he has had suicidal thoughts over the course of two days. Reporting party advises no guns in the residence. First page Plains ambulance.
January 15 at 8:07 p.m. at Garber Street. 47 year-old male currently on dialysis advises his legs went out from under him and he is unable to get up. Advises his potassium levels are not balanced. Paged Plains ambulance.
January 19 at 1:04 p.m. at Church Street. Reporting party requests ambulance for his 73 year-old father who is very weak, unable to eat and running a fever. First page Thompson Falls ambulance.
January 19 at 12:23 a.m. at Church Street. Reporting party requests ambulance for female with extreme stomach pain, requests no lights or siren. First page Thompson Falls ambulance.
January 19 at 12:53 a.m. at Silcox Lane. Reporting party requests ambulance for 83 year-old male lost feeling and use of right leg. First page Thompson Falls ambulance.
January 19 at 4:55 a.m. at Second Avenue North. Reporting party requests ambulance for 59 year-old female who is diabetic, unable to speak and appears disoriented. First page to Hot Springs ambulance.
January 19 at 11:09 a.m. at Helterline Road. Reporting party requests ambulance for 80 year-old male who had fallen in the bathroom. Is conscious and breathing, unknown if bleeding. First paged Plains ambulance.
Animal:
January 15 at 7:49 p.m. at Slough Lower Lynch Creek Road. Reporting party advises that their 10-year old daughter observed the neighbor kick his dog. The dog has a head injury and swelling.
January 16 at 11:37 a.m. at Prospect Creek Road, mile marker 1. Report of an injured deer on the highway.
January 17 at 10:16 a.m. at Highway 200, between mile markers 44 and 45. Report of five horses running on the highway. A log truck almost hit one.
Arrests made:
January 19 at 7:37 a.m. at Klakken Road. Disturbance/non-domestic – Reporting party advises she needs the police because her husband is there and they are fighting female is screaming at the male. Called reporting party back advises male is outside the vehicle in front of the motel, reporting party has unloaded firearm.
Fire:
January 15 at 11:03 a.m. at Choctaw Lane. Report of a chimney fire. First page Trout Creek Rural Fire.
January 15 at 10:45 p.m. at Thrid Avenue. Reporting party believes there is carbon monoxide infiltration into his home and requests the fire department to come check. He states he opened up his windows and can smell the odor, has headache. Advises reporting party to remove himself from the residence but he did not agree. Paged Noxon Fire.
Miscellaneous:
January 13 at 7:51 p.m. at Garber Street. Welfare check – reporting party states male had been drinking since the early morning and passed out on the bathroom floor. He then went to the bedroom and cut his left forearm with a knife or razor. The cut is approximately 1 ? inch long and ? to ? inch deep.
January 13 at 8:31 p.m. at East Railroad Avenue. Mental health issues – requests dispatch on commercial hold up alarm at the High Plains Bar. Female bar patron advised a suicidal male has locked himself in the bathroom with a big knife. Advises he already has a gash on his arm. Transported to Clark Fork Valley Hospital.
January 14 at 10:04 a.m. at Jaques Road. Reporting party states she wants to move a trailer off of her property and needs to go through her neighbor’s property to do so. Party states the neighbor refuses to let her use her property. Officer advised.
January 14 at 5:21 p.m. at D St. apartments. Reporting party advises her boyfriend is refusing to leave the residence and has thrown a shoe at her, striking her with it. Officer states he will separate the parties for the night.
January 14 at 11:28 p.m. at Arlee Street South. Report of a disturbance near the church on First Avenue. Reporting party advises the male is yelling and smashing things with a golf club. She states he has been going on for about an hour.
January 15 at 2:23 p.m. at Little Bear Road. Reporting party states when she got home her house had been broken into and some items were missing. Party believes her husband may be responsible.
January 15 at 4:52 p.m. at North Central Avenue. Reporting party reported the theft of her son’s bike earlier and advised she had just observed a male taking the bike from the apartment complex she lives at. When the boy saw her he dropped the bike off and left. Faxed to Plains Police Department for follow up contact.
January 15 at 5:42 p.m. at Slough Lane. Welfare Check – Reporting party advises she has not been able to speak with her daughter for over a week and half. She states her daughter’s ex will not allow her to speak with the daughter. Party claims the ex becomes confrontational when she attempted to get in contact with her daughter at his residence. Deputy checked on daughter, she did not want contact. After checking records it has been determined there is a protective order in effect and the daughter is listed as a protected person along with the ex.
January 16 at 3:26 a.m. at First Avenue South. Domestic abuse – reporting party called from the bar and advised his dad came home intoxicated. He began smashing things, tore the phone out of the wall and jumped on his spouse and began to strangle her.
January 17 at 12:34 p.m. at Sinclair. Report of a shoplifter.
January 18 at 3:23 p.m. at Graceland Drive. Juvenile run-a-way – Reporting party advises his eight year-old son snuck out of the bedroom window about an hour ago.
January 19 at 9:59 a.m. at Main Street. Reporting party requests to set up a civil standby, reporting party advises she kicked her boyfriend out on Wednesday and he wants to come back to get his belongings. Reporting party advises male is very angry and has a lot of knives.
January 19 at 11:13 a.m. at Dixon. Reporting party requests to file a complaint. Party claimed he found a bag in the garage with $1,200 inside the bag. The bag belongs to the reporting party, the money does not. Advises he spent the money and later found out the money belongs to his brother. He advises $800 was sent when he traded his vehicle for a truck. Advises that reporting party’s brother’s mother-in-law found out and took the keys to reporting party’s new truck and refuses to return them. Advises he had contacted Tribal but was advised it was a civil matter. Reporting party requests to speak to a deputy.
January 19 at 10:59 p.m. at Prospect Creek, mile marker five. Reporting party advises gunfire was heard near five. He investigated and found some shotgun shells, etc. Advises that possible rifle shots were also involved. There may have been an elk in the area.
Theft:
January 14 at 6:18 p.m. at North Central Avenue. Reporting party advises her sons bike was stolen.
January 15 at 1:33 p.m. at NAPA. Report of a shoplifter caught on video.
Traffic:
January 14 at 9:49 a.m. at Highway 200, mile marker 102. Report of a one-vehicle accident, unknown injuries, partial blockage. First page Dixon Quick Response Unit and Fire. Advises MHP.
January 14 at 10:59 a.m. at Highway 28, mile marker 28. Report of a one-vehicle rollover. First page Hot Springs ambulance and fire. Advises MHP. Ambulance made contact with the driver and he refused transport.
January 14 at 12:57 p.m. at Little Beaver Creek Road. Report of a vehicle slide off. No one around the area, non-blockage. Advises officer.
January 14 at 2:31 p.m. at West Preston Avenue at Spruce. Report of a two-vehicle accident. Reporting party slid into a parked car.
January 15 at 10:25 a.m. at Highway 200 between mile marker 87 and 88. Reporting party states a sign has been damaged and tracks in the snow look like a vehicle was in the ditch at one time. Reporting party found a plate from the vehicle by the sign. Advises MHP.
January 15 at 9:08 p.m. at the Symes Hotel. Advises a fender bender at the hotel. Persons involved exchanged insurance, no further action required.
January 16 at 8:21 a.m. at Highway 28/Lonepine Road. Report of a vehicle slide off. The female is going to the Hot Springs Clinic with her father to get checked out. Advises MHP.
January 16 at 6:36 p.m. at Highway 200, mile marker 65. Reporting party advises of a vehicle in the westbound lane with their flashers on. Unknown accident. Reporting party advises they are unable to stop. Officer confirms it was a deer vs. vehicle accident with minor damage.
January 16 at 10:47 p.m. at Highway 135, mile marker 5 northbound. Reporting party advises he overturned his semi. Advises he has the flu, was coughing and blacked out momentarily when he overturned the rig. Non-injury, non-blockage.
January 18 at 2:24 p.m. at Highway 200, approximately mile marker 65. Reporting party advises of a large rock in the westbound lane.
January 18 at 6:17 p.m. at Highway 200. Reporting party advises a vehicle cs. Elk. Paged Plains ambulance, Plains Fire. Advises one female in the vehicle recently had surgery and is complaining of abdominal pain. MHP also on scene.
