At the beginning of the season, the St. Regis Tigers lost to Lincoln at home by over 20-points.

Since that early loss, the Tigers have continued to build under first-year head coach Byron Quinlan.

“I’ve been pleased with the progress our young men have made throughout the year,” Coach Quinlan said.

“Although our record doesn’t reflect the hard work and commitment that has been made by our athletes, the coaching staff and fans have noticed.”

On Saturday St. Regis headed to Lincoln for a rematch and Coach Quinlan called the game a “perfect example” of just how far the squad has come.

“This weekend we finally played four full quarters and lost by three, 38-35,” Coach Quinlan said.

“I’m proud of the effort our boy’s put forth each and every game. I know that if our team continues to work hard in practices that good things are around the corner.”

Coach Quinlan added the Tigers should continue to improve as they head into the second half of the season and start playing opponents for the second time.

“I look forward to our team finishing out the year strong,” Coach Quinlan said.

On Friday, the Tigers host Noxon before heading to Arlee to take on the Warriors on Saturday.
