This weekend the Superior Bobcat wrestling team will head to Thompson Falls to compete in the Western B/C Divisional Tournament.

Competition will be intense with ten teams total sending their wrestlers to vie for a chance to get into the state tournament.

“Their shape is on point as well as their technique, so all we have to do is go out and execute and we should get everyone to state,” Superior Wrestling Coach Charlie Crabb said. The guys have been working real hard and still improving, which is what we want.”

Both Anthony Parkin and Kenny Stockard will be competing in the 105-pound weight class and Coach Crabb said both “should do real well.”

“Anthony is the top 105 in the division and Kenny rounds out the top four,” Crabb said.

Bridger LaPierre will be competing in the 130-pound weight class and Coach Crabb expects big things from the freshman.

“He has had an outstanding year and will be looking to place high in the tournament,” Coach Crabb said. “He will also end the season with over 30 wins as a freshman.”

Rounding out the Bobcat squad is River Sides, who will be competing for a chance to qualify in for his fourth state tournament.

“If we continue to work hard and improve we should do very well and have good momentum going into the state tournament in Billings,” Coach Crabb said.
