PLAINS - The second annual Bowl-n-Blast event took place on Saturday at the Plains Trap Club and VFW that hosted a good time for participants.

A total of 60 players, 14 teams played in the trap-shooting, bowling tournament shindig, which is about the same as last year’s numbers. Each team of four assembled, and for the trap shooting portion of the tourney, fired off 10 shots to try to hit the bird. After a few hours of shooting trap, all the teams headed over to the VFW to try their luck at the bowling lanes.

“The VFW did a great job with the food and drinks,: organizer Cookie Kunzer said. “Joe and Karen [Eisenbrandt] did a phenomenal job.”

Winning teams were:

Fist place: Tony Colombo’s group

Second place: Dave Pettis’ group

Third place: Ben Bache’s group

“Everyone had a wonderful time,” Kunzer said. “We’re all looking forward to next year.”

Next up for the Trap Club will be the annual Turkey Shoot on March 23.
