Teams join together to save Christmas display in Plains

| July 31, 2013 10:59 AM

PLAINS - The Sanders County Community Market is proud to announce they have Partnered with Missoula’s Eagle Satellite in a bid to save this year Christmas lights at the Sanders County Fair Grounds. The “Drive Through Santa” Christmas display has brought families and friends together for years with a fantastic festival of light the whole community loves.  But the ever increasing expense to run the light display has led to the potential black out this year – unless action to save them is taken now.

So on Saturday Aug. 3rd from 9am to 3pm there will be a Community Swap Meet held at the Sanders County Fairgrounds. Vender space is free to anyone that wants to come out and sale art, crafts, or those old boxes of who knows what sitting in the attic for years. There will be live music from Forever Country and John Patrick Williams, homemade hot dogs and sausage by Wild Weenie, a 50/50 raffle, homemade ice cream, and pony rides. Eagle Satellite will be donating a portion of all their  proceeds to help in the effort to save this year’s Christmas display.

Together we can insure that the whole community is able to share in the joy of Christmas – by doing the work NOW.
