Burn Permit season has closed

The Superior Ranger District will no longer be issuing burn permits of any kind. All smoke reports will be considered wildfires and will be responded to accordingly.

Warm weather, thunder storms, and dry forest conditions due to lack of snowfall and ongoing drought continue to cause concerns for forest officials.

The Forest Service would like to remind forest visitors to be extra careful with their outdoor activities.

A shovel and bucket is required when camping in both developed and undeveloped camping areas.

Make sure your campfire is dead out before leaving and don’t leave your campfire unattended.
