Sanders County Senior News

Well, we made it into June, and signs of summer coming up! Notice the RV’s and traffic increase, as people are on the move. We happen to be between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, which accounts for part of it, I’m sure. Graduations are coming to a close, and vacations begin. For some of us, anyway.
Our center was asked to provide a meal for the traveling “steamers”--members of the Pacific Rail Group Operators. Did you notice some strange-looking railroad cars traveling up the rez rails last week? This fun-loving group of seniors from all over the country, meet at various locations to use their “cars” just for fun. They made it here in time for our sunny days, and were most complimentary and appreciative of being served such a delicious meal. Delene Tufly was the “lead cook” with ample help from our members. Thanks to all who helped with this.
Jerry Halter had a birthday on June 9, and an anniversary with Karen, on the 23rd. We sang the birthday song to Roy Tufly right on his June 6th b’day, and he also has an anniversary coming up with wife, Delen. Jim Barnes was glad to pass another year, on the 17th Congratulations to you all for keeping it going!
