"It's been a quiet day but a good day," Superior Mayor Mike Wood said of the town's annual clean-up day this year. "Maybe that means we are getting the town cleaned up."

The day of clean up saw fewer residents take advantage of the free dumping and transportation of things like appliances, however a team of volunteers was still on hand to receive the small amount of trash.

"I imagine we will wind up with about ten dumpsters this year," Mayor Wood said. "They end up at the dump in Missoula."

According to Mayor Wood the clean-up day was created to "encourage people to bring their stuff here and get the junk out of their yard."

The clean-up day has been around for seven years and Mayor Wood said, "this is the slowest year we've had so far."
