Missoula Children's Theatre to hold auditions

PLAINS - Auditions will be held for Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Red Riding Hood Monday, March 18 at the Plains School Cafeteria from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:45 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

Among the roles to be cast are Red Riding Hood, her three girlfriends, Little Loveable Wolf, the Hood family, the three little pigs, a woodsman, a locksmith, the Wolfgang, forest shadows and some rascally raccoons.

Students from grades kindergarten through 12 grade are encouraged to audition. No advanced preparation is necessary.

Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. The MCT tour actors and directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. each day.

Red Riding Hood will be presented later this month at the Plains Gym. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Plains is presented with support from the Plains Woman’s Club.

This is the 20th annual performace of MCT in Plains and will be the first time Red Riding Hood is performed here.
