Plains-Paradise Players

The Plains-Paradise Players will perform “Peter Pan” on April 11-12, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Paradise School gym. Practices start this week, all ages are welcome to participate. For more information, call Ruth at 826-5729.

Open Gym at Plains

Open Gym Volleyball - Wednesdays and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. at the Plains High School gym. Court shoes required; adults only.

Plains Booster Club

Plains Booster Club meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the elementary music room off the gym lobby. Please call 396-3245 if you have questions.

Plains Lions Club

Plains Lions Club meets first and third Tuesdays at Heather’s Country Kitchen at 6 p.m. Community service minded individuals are invited to attend.

Bowl of Soup at the Free Store

Every Monday the Free Store in Hot Springs will be offering a bowl of soup from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Free Store is located on Orchard and 2nd.

Wild Horse Plains Back Country Horsemen meet

The Wild Horse Plains Back Country Horsemen meet at Plains High School on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. The first half hour is education and special speakers, then onto business. Visitors are welcome.

D.A.V. offers free rides

The Disabled American Veterans of Montana’s Volunteer Transportation Network is offering free van rides to and from VA scheduled appointments. Call 242-0217 for more information.

Serenity Group

The Pathway to Serenity Group meets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday and 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Clark Fork West Church at 75 Abba Lane.

TOPS 202 Meeting

Anyone interested in joining our group of about twenty is welcome. We meet each Friday from noon-1 p.m. at the First Church of God, 407 West 1st. We give guidelines for weight loss and current information about nutrition. Come join our friendly, accepting group or call 826-3592.

Plainly Speaking Toastmasters Club Meeting

The weekly meeting for the Plainly Speaking Toastmasters Club is in the Family and Consumer Sciences room (Home Ec.) every Thursday at 7:00p.m.

Sanders County Arts Council Art Call

Sanders County Arts Council is accepting applications for the Spring Show of “Art on the Walls” of Clark Fork Valley Hospital, which runs March 28 through June 25, 2013. Art for this juried show must be the original work of a Sanders County artist, display ready to be hung on a wall. Applications are due March 12, 2013. Annual Elk Banquet delayed

The 23rd annual Sanders County Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet has been delayed until September. The Sanders County RMEF Chapter needs some new volunteers to take over. Clark Fork Valley Tea Party Meeting

The Clark Fork Valley Tea Party Business meetings will be held the second Sunday of each month with the exception of Mother’s Day. Meetings are held at Odd Fellows Hall in Thompson Falls on Main and Ferry Street (side entrance of the Internet Kitchen.) This week’s meeting is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Educational film “Stop the Common Core Power Grab – Reclaim Local Control of Education” will begin at one followed by a business meeting for members and guests only.

Red Riding Hood Auditions

Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theater production of Red Riding Hood will be March 18 at 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the Plains School Cafeteria. There are approximately 60 roles to fill. MCT is sponsored by Plains Woman’s Club.
