Thompson Falls

Our weather has certainly been “different” this week. We have had sun, rain, snow and wind in just a few short hours. It makes picking out a wardrobe, a challenge. I’m sure we are all up for it, though.

Our center enjoyed a fun ending to our Silent auction on Friday. We had several bidders who came down for the final count down. Most of our items were picked up within a couple of hours, after the auction ended. It is an enjoyable experience to see everyone’s enthusiasm.

Next month we will be putting on our Spring Bazaar. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Tax time is coming up; if you haven’t gotten your paperwork completed, give us a call for an appointment. We have tax preparers available at the Center. Call 827-3457.

AARP will be having their Drivers Safety Class on March 13th. Call 827-4735 to schedule this class.

Our meals for this week are as follows:

Thurs., Mar. 7 – dinner at 6:00 pm is Breakfast for Dinner

Tues, Mar 12 – lunch at noon is Enchiladas

Thurs., Mar 14 – dinner at 6:00 pm is Corned Beef

We hope to see you at any or all of our activities.

Plains

We are building a play house to be raffled off at the Fair this year. Work on the playhouse is Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. at the Senior Center, so if you can swing a hammer or paint brush, please come HELP! Call Pat Hardin at 826-0178 for information. We are hoping to have the playhouse finished before Plains Day, so we can show it off in the parade.

Our meals for this week are:

Wed., March 6: Spaghetti/meat sauce, corn/garlic bread/Greek salad, peaches/zucchini squares

Fri., March 8: Teriyaki meatballs, rice/carrots, fruit salad/lemon dessert

Wed., March 13: Corned beef & cabbage, potatoes/carrots, pineapple/coconut crunch
