Dixon
HAPPY SPRING everybody! I’m sure most of you are as delighted as I am to once again be in the season for baby animals, plant growth, warming weather, longer days, cooler clothes....just make a list of all the changes brought with spring (maybe it’s the third-grade teacher still in me?). Our cook, Diane, treated us to a yummy traditional corned beef and cabbage lunch last week. I hope you found something appropriate to wear for St. Patrick’s Day, although I don’t recall any pinches for not wearing green, at the places I go these days!
Another change coming up--the Monday meal will be served from 5:30-6:00 beginning April 1,(changing from 5 p.m.). Thursday’s lunch is at noon. Come for a ride along our part of Scenic Highway 200 and enjoy a meal with friends in Dixon. Treat your cook and bring your family or a neighbor. Meals are only $4.00 and take-outs are available. The last March meals will be:
Thurs. Mar 21 Brunch--Breakfast burrito, baked French toast, ham, fruit
Mon. Mar 25 Baked chicken
Thurs. Mar 28 Ham
Harley and Joey Hettick returned safely from a late-winter (in MT) cruise to Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. Good news--they have ordered the seeds for next summer’s feast of Dixon Melons!
The Pinochle players’ last scores while playing at the Dixon center are: High scorer-- Esther Bick; Bob Cook was the low scorer; Don Siers played the most pinochles. and Joyce took home the door prize. The players travel around to varied centers on Monday afternoon. They welcome new players.
