Iris Jean Kolberg Scott

Iris Jean Kolberg Scott, of Lewiston, NY and Plains, MT, passed away on Sunday, Nobember 11, 2012, at her daughter’s residence under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.

She was born in Plains, Montana, on October 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Willard P. and Alice L. (Granger) Willis.

Mrs. Scott was a graduate of Montana State University.

She was employed with Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA.

Mrs. Scott and her late husband Jack J. Kolberg, moved to Buffalo, NY from Puget Sound in the late 1940’s where she was the secretary of his business Jack J. Kolberg Company, Inc.

She was a member of the Buffalo Curling Club and the VFW in Plains, MT. She enjoyed traveling to visit her family and firends, playing the piano and gardening.

Mrs. Scott was also the wife of the late Mike Scott.

She is survived by one daughter Suzan Lien (Michael) Wrona of Lewiston, NY, one son Jack Price (Martha) Kolberg of Missoula, MT, her daughter in law Susan Kiener, seven grandchildren Jason, Sarah, Jessica, Anna, Iris, Timmy and Summer, four great grandchildren Nicholas, Ankin, Joseph and Max, also many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scott was the mother of the late John Jay Kolberg and sister of the late Willard P. (Fran) Willis.

The family will be present on Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 901 Cayuga Street, Lewiston, NY, where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Patrick J. Bradley officiating.
