Free workshops offered to assist in calibrating sprayers

FREE WORKSHOP! Get your sprayers ready for the season!

The Mineral County MSU Extension Office and Mineral County Weed District are offering three workshops to assist pesticide applicators with calibrating their sprayers for the start of the season.

These “Calibration Clinics” are free and open to any person with a pesticide sprayer, big or small, to attend.

Attendees are asked to bring their sprayer, properly cleaned out, to any of the three clinics offered throughout Mineral County where staff will assist them to calibrate their sprayer for the safe and effective use of any pesticides they wish to apply.

The locations and dates of the Calibration Clinics are as follows:

Saturday, May 11th, 10 am – 1 pm

Alberton Feed & Supply, Alberton, MT

Saturday, May 18th, 10 am – 1 pm

West end of Mineral County Airport, Superior, MT

Saturday, June 1st, 11 am – 2 pm

Vacant lot, 750 Old US Hwy 10 East, St. Regis, MT

Anyone with a pesticide sprayer, whether it’s a one-gallon hand sprayer or a 200-gallon boom sprayer, is welcome to attend.

Recertification credits for Farm (Private) Applicator Licenses (1 credit) as well as Gov’t/Commercial Applicator Licenses (2 credits) will be available.
