Senior Center makes progress on playhouse

| May 8, 2013 12:39 PM

PLAINS – After close to two months of work, the Plains Senior Center is making steady progress on the two-story dream playhouse they plan to raffle off at the fair.

With the first story walls up, the group of seniors is hard at work assembling the second story of the house.

The project is supervised by Pat Harbin and is man powered by seniors in the community who have put in countless hours into the project.

Original plans for the playhouse included a swing, slide, basketball hoop and climbing wall – everything a little kid would wish to have.

The playhouse should be complete in June just in time for the upcoming Sanders County Fair.

In previous years, the raffle has helped the Senior Center raise up to $5,000.
