Local Minor League Baseball update

Clark Fork Valley Minor League Baseball postseason tournament seeds are set. The Plains Twins headed to Thompson Falls last Tuesday for the final regular season game of the year. At stake was a number one seed heading into next weekend’s tournament. Pitcher Jake Zigler held the Hawks at bay with a 13 strikeout, one hit performance for a 2-0 victory. The six team postseason tournament is hosted in St. Regis on Friday and Saturday.

Additionally, the Clark Fork Valley Minor League All star voting has finished. Representing the Clark Fork Valley in the state tournament in Florence are Trevor Harris and Cody Carter from Thompson Falls; Austin Newton, Jake Zigler and Nathan Zigler from the Plains Twins; Case Johnston and Nathan Feliksa from the Plains Tigers; Bryan Mask from Superior; Easton Mitchell from St. Regis; and Tucker Foster from Hot Springs. Head Coach Sam Carter and Assistant Coach Jon Zigler will lead these boys to play against Montana’s best Minor league baseball players later this summer.
