Noxon Lady Red Devils end season at Districts

HOT SPRINGS – The Lady Red Devils took to the court at Hot Springs during the district tournament and came up short twice against both Hot Springs and Superior.

During the second game of the tournament the ladies took to the court for the first time to face their county rivals, the Lady Savage heat.

The ladies fell in three sets with scores of 23 to 25, 19 to 25, and 17 to 25.

As a team, Noxon pulled in nine kills with Zoey Osborne having four. Sara Webley had nine digs and added to the team’s total of 34. Both Bethanie Ulrich and Webley each had three of the team’s six assists. Webley, Asiah Jensen and Katie Chandler each had one set.

During their second game of the day, the ladies went up against Superior and again came up short within three sets. The final score was in favor of Superior (25 to 18, 26 to 24 and 25 to 18).

Although close in taking the second set, the ladies were unable to do so.

Overall the team had 14 kills with Osborne taking five of them. Both Jensen and Ulrich added 13 digs each to the team total of 55 and Webley added four of the team’s eight assists. The ladies had eight aces with Chandler making four of them and had four blocks with all but one going to Osborne.

The loss ended the Lady Red Devil’s season.
