SUPERIOR - The Superior Volunteer Fire Department held two training meetings in November. On Tuesday evening, November 5, the Department practiced its extrication skills.

Using a vehicle donated by Carl’s Auto Repair and Towing, after taking the proper safety precautions, department members removed glass, the vehicle roof and doors and performed a dash roll. Craig Jeppson from the Fire Service Training School provided instruction.

On Tuesday, November 19th, Superior volunteers reviewed chimney fire procedures and practiced proper ladder handling techniques. Craig Jeppson again instructed.

The Superior Volunteer Fire Department serves the Town of Superior and the Superior Rural Fire District. Volunteers are needed and accepted from all areas served and adjacent areas not served by other departments. All training is provided. Stop by the fire hall for an application.
