Superior Service Center has changed ownership

New additions are coming to Superior as The Superior Service Center recently changed owners.

John Woods, the new owner of the Service Center, comes to Superior from Grand Junction, CO. He has an associates degree in automotive and diesel mechanics from the Denver Automotive and Diesel College and a background in mechanics and heavy equipment.

Woods came to Superior to be closer to family and to try his hand at running his own business. When he came to Superior, Woods said he wanted to get back into the automotive business and felt the time had come to run his own company.

“It was always my dream to own my own business,” Woods said. “So when I came here, I decided to make a go of it.”

Woods says he plans to deliver “good honest prices and good honest work.” He says he will be honest and fair and wants to be of assistance to the Superior community.

The Superior Service Center offers automotive and diesel services, doing front end, brake and clutch work as well as oil changes. Woods specializes more in automotive than diesel and finds Japanese cars simpler to work on than American or European cars. He does not do much work on in-car computers, but can work on most other aspects of modern cars.

The Service Center also has an attached U-Haul branch that can provide trucks, trailers, moving supplies and 24-hour dropoffs.
