Car goes off embankment
ST. REGIS – Early Sunday evening, a vehicle went off an embankment on Cold Creek Road, just east of St. Regis.
According to Trooper Darlene Lee, the Highway Patrol trooper on the scene, the driver took a turn on the gravel road too fast and overcorrected, going off the hill. The vehicle stopped in a forested area not far from Interstate 90 and a group of residences.
While there were signs of injury at the scene, the vehicle’s operator could not be found in the area and local hospitals were notified to keep watch for incoming patients.
Further investigations by the Montana Highway Patrol are under way.
