| October 9, 2013 10:35 AM

Carol Anne Kinzie, 64, died September 30, 2013 in Missoula surrounded by her family. A memorial service is planned for 5 pm Saturday, October 5th at the Assembly of God church in Plains.

Carol was born on Holy Thursday April 4, 1949 in Lynch, NE to Margaret and Edwin Faatz. Her father tragically died in a car accident when Carol was only 9 months old. Carol was a cheerleader in high school and also worked running the projectors at the local theater.

In seventh grade, Carol met Terry and a long love affair was born. She and Terry eloped to Idaho years later to marry. After returning to Nebraska, Terry was accepted to college. So they loaded the car and moved to Minneapolis, MN for the next two years. While Terry attended college, they had two boys, Richard and Brad. They then moved to Burke, SD where Scott was born. After 4 years they moved Lynch, NE where Carol worked several jobs including working at the Catholic Church, running the projectors at the theater, running a café for two years and worked in the laundry department at the local hospital. Their fourth son, Jeff, was born in Lynch, NE.

The family moved to Plains, MT in 1981 where the boys finished school. Carol worked and managed Town Pump for 17 years where she made many life-long friends. For the last 7 years Carol has enjoyed running her own business, Kinzie Courier.

Carol loved her grandchildren more than life itself. She lived to spend time with each of them and they were truly the light of her life. If you were to call her you never got off the phone without a rundown of what each of them were doing.

Carol was an avid stamper and loved her flowers. She loved to spend summers camping with her family. She had a great sense of humor that she passed on to her boys.

Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry; 4 sons Richard (Kim) and Brad (Carla) both of Plains, MT, Scott (Tomina) of Wolf Point, MT and Jeff of Menominee, MN. Her mother Margaret Thomason of O’Neil, NE; brothers Dave (Marsha) Anderson of Grand Island, NE; Ken (Charlie) Anderson of Laughlin, Nevada; brothers-in-law Craig (Janet) of Des Moines, IA; Randy (Sherrill) of Homer, NE and Gary (Coralene) of Ainsworth, NE; 12 grandchildren, Devon, Dakota, Dustin, Cody, Vanessa, Sami, Madison, Kassidy, Emily, and Claire, A.J. Ehrlich, Nikki Ehrlich; 2 great-grandchildren Kyla and Jace; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol also had many children she “adopted” throughout the years.

Carol is preceded in death by her Father, Edwin Faatz, adopted father, Ardin Anderson, and her brother-in-law Randy Kinzie and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
