Lavern Rivinius

Lavern Rivinius died on Jan. 11, 2013 at Parkview Nursing Home in Billings, MT of natural causes. She was 86.

Lavern was born on Sept. 14, 1927 in Langdon, N. Dakota To Oscar and Esther Overby.

On June 27, 1948 she married Clarence Rivinius in Langdon.

They were married for 59 years until his death in 2007.

In 1959 they moved from N. Dakota to Montana settling in Billings. In 1985, after retiring they moved to Plains to be close to their son Larry. They lived in Plains until 2006 when they went back to Billings to the Parkview Nursing Home.

Besides her husband, Clarence she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arlie Overby, and three granddaughters, Mandy and Caitlin Rivinius, and Shanti Stafford.

She is survived by four sons, Larry (Sharlene) of Plains, Allen of Albany, Or., Dean (Judy) of Billings and Clayton of Concrete, Wa. Three daughters, Deborah Minear (Miles) of Concrete, Wa., Kari Greyer (Tim) of Billings, MT and Donna Rivinius of Portland, OR as well as 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at the Plains Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at 4 p.m.
