SUPERIOR – Superior recently made the global map as the Big Sky Motel was presented with a Certificate of Excellence as one of the top-performing business of the website TripAdvisor.

With TripAdvisor, businesses are judged based on traveler feedback and ranked according to the results. The Certificate of Excellence is only given to the top 10 percent of businesses in world.

“It always feels wonderful for outside customers to give [this kind of] praise and comments,” said Jim Hollenback, co-owner of the Big Sky Motel.

To Hollenback, the success of the motel boils down to people. The facility is in really good condition. Hollenback, however, believes it is due to the staff and especially Rosie Schreckendgust, general manager of the Big Sky Motel, that people give such positive feedback and keep coming back.

Keith and Lorraine Moyer, temporary receptionists at the motel, said that Schreckendgust makes everyone feel at home during their stay. Lorraine said she usually brings something homemade to the lobby for guests to enjoy and gives the place a homey feel.

Hollenback said that he is really proud of Schreckendgust and the job she does managing the motel. Hearing the comments of guests and seeing the results of their feedback makes him feel that he “hired the right person.”

According to Hollenback, The entire staff of the motel make all of their guests feel that they are important and their needs come first.
