Valley Press & Mineral Independent sponsor rifle contest

SANDERS COUNTY/MINERAL COUNTY – The Clark Fork Valley Press and Mineral Independent are holding their annual rifle contest. The contest allows rifle hunters to display their kill proudly within the pages of their local newspaper and also gives them a chance to win a brand new Savage Axis 30-06.

Anyone can participate as long as they are a licensed hunter and a bona fide resident of either Sanders or Mineral Counties.

The animal must be harvested legally during the 2013 rifle season and a tag must be presented at the time the picture is taken.

No matter what the size or the species of the animal, everyone who enters is eligible to win. The winning ticket is drawn at random, allowing everyone an equal chance for a shiny new gun.

To get your picture taken for the contest, participants must bring their big game animal either to the Clark Fork Valley Press office in Plains between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or may go to the Mineral County Courthouse in Superior on Wednesdays and Sundays between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

In order to qualify for the contest, the picture must run in the paper.

The contest is not open to employees or their immediate family members of Clark Fork Valley Press and Mineral Independent.
