Excerpts from the Sanders County Sheriff’s report week of 8/11 to 8/17

Arrests made:

August 13 at 9:00 p.m. at South Central Avenue. Burglary - Reporting party advises that two subjects just assaulted him at his residence. Reporting party did not need an ambulance. Advises that an officer just left his residence from a civil standby and the subject re-entered the residence through a window and assaulted him in an attempt to get more things out of the residence.

August 16 at 7:18 p.m. at Roe Lane. Miscellaneous – Reports of a female causing problems at the residence. The female is intoxicated and is upsetting family members. Reporting party would like the female removed from the residence.

Drugs:

August 17 at 2:31 p.m. at East Lynch Street. Reporting party advises that she just bought a trailer and showed up to start cleaning it. She found a jar in the window sill possibly containing meth (pink with crystals).

Miscellaneous:

August 11 at 6:05 p.m. at Thompson River Road. Reporting party advises they heard approximately four gunshots and then observed a neighboring female walking down the road with a handgun. Reporting party was not able to confirm if the female was shooting from the road. A second call was received advising that the female is unstable and is threatening people in the area.

August 11 at 3:27 p.m. at Panorama Road. Report of someone camping out on private property and using the private beach to do his laundry.

August 13 at 1:26 p.m. on McCrea Road. Report of a 17 year old with a gun. Grandfather was attempting to get the gun.

August 15 at 1:15 a.m. at Ferry Street. Criminal mischief – Reporting party requests officer for someone who threw a smoke bomb at a stop sign out in front of his house.

August 16 at 5:42 p.m. at Trout Creek. Report of a 13 year-old male making threats to a 10 year old. Parent would like officer contact.

August 17 at 1:4 a.m. at North Central Avenue. Reporting party advises that an unknown male was in her backyard with hands on her ladder. Reporting party shouted at the male and he left the yard.

August 17 at 10:32 a.m. at Thompson River Road. Reporting party started explaining to dispatch about a man who broke her heart by returning to Thompson Falls and removing his number from her phone. Dispatch advised that the call was not an emergency.

August 17 at 11:09 a.m. at Sanders County Sheriff’s Office. Requests for closest deputy to be en route to SCSO to cite an inmate for a disturbance.

August 17 at 11:14 a.m. at Highway 200. Reporting party advises they were calling about the Amber Alert of a silver Dodge Dakota with Nevada license plates that just passed her vehicle about five minutes ago eastbound on Highway 200 from Thompson Falls.

August 17 at 2:37 p.m. at Washington. Reporting party advises that her ex will not give up their son for her visit.

August 17 at 9:58 p.m. on Highway 200. Report of someone shooting on her property and it sounded like a high-powered rifle.

Theft:

August 13 at 6:21 p.m. at Plains Service Center. Report of a dark truck with trailer carrying boards driving off from the Plains Service Center.

August 15 at 2:07 p.m. at Alec Cullooyah Street. Reporting party advises that her house was broken into and items were estimated at $5,750 sometime between June and July. Reporting party believes suspects are tribal members.
