NOXON – In the first away game of the season, the Lady Red Devils swept Two Eagle River, winning their match 3 to 0.

The girls came together, working as a team for a common goal - securing a win for their team.

With a young crowd this year, Noxon is rebuilding and so far their efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Head Coach Teri Wilkinson has a team with one senior and three returning players. But the age did not seem to thwart their ability to play the game.

Junior McKenna Krueger had eight kills and three aces while Tierrah Camara helped out 24 times, racking up all of Noxon’s assists.

The sets totals were 25 to 9, 25 to 8 and 25 to 11.

In total Noxon’s kills were unavailable and Krueger led the team in kills. The Lady Red Devils also had two blocks both by Krueger.

The ladies played Troy on Tuesday but scores were unavailable at the time of press.

Their next game in the week is against Charlo on Friday, Sept. 13 at yet another home game. Charlo proves to be a tough competitor in many sporting events and the Red Devils will have to work together once again to bring in a win.
