| September 25, 2013 10:17 AM

PLAINS, MT - Michael Keith Cooper, born on March 11, 1951 in Fortbragg, CA went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2013. He spent most of his life in Humbolt County where he worked in the timber industry. After retiring earlier this year, he and his wife, Sandy, his love, and best friend of eleven years, moved to Plains, MT to be closer to his brother and sister-in-law, Marlin & Virginia Cooper. Mike will be missed by his children Keith & wife, Theresa, Terra and husband Brent Smith, and Sandy’s children: Tommy, Renee & Tabatha, all of whom he accepted and loved as his own. He adored his five grandchildren: Brent Jr., Shelby, Trenton, Miles and Trinity. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Beulah Cooper.

Mike was extremely knowledgeable with computers and electronics. He enjoyed tinkering for hours in his shop, building robots, windmills and working on various other projects. He loved spending time with family and friends. Mike enjoyed singing karaoke and could always put a smile on your face by singing “Big Bad John”. With their recent move, he and Sandy enjoyed sitting on their front porch relaxing, enjoying the view, and talking about their latest boating trip with family at Flathead Lake.

All who knew Mike knew that he was full of energy and was not one with idle hands. He passed suddenly and without warning of a heart attack. Life can be gone in an instant. We all should live each day with Love of God in our hearts and make every second count. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Plains Bible Chapel, Plains, MT. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Homes, Plains, MT.
