Motorcycle fatality occurs on Montana Highway 471

THOMPSON FALLS – Patrick M. Ryan, 46, died in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Thompson Pass Saturday, September 21 around 1:45 p.m.

Ryan was headed southbound on Thompson Falls Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road. The crash took place on Montana Highway 471 at mile marker 22. According to a release given out by the Idaho State Police, Ryan succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The crash is still under investigation and it is unknown whether Ryan was wearing a helmet. He was driving a 2006 Kawasaki Motorcycle and was taken to Shoshone County Funeral Home.
