Open Gym at Plains

Open Gym Volleyball - Wednesdays and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. at the Plains High School gym. Court shoes required; adults only.

Plains Booster Club

Plains Booster Club meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the elementary music room off the gym lobby. Please call 396-3245 if you have questions.

Plains Lions Club

Plains Lions Club meets first and third Tuesdays at Heather’s Country Kitchen at 6 p.m. Community service minded individuals are invited to attend.

Bowl of Soup at the Free Store

Every Monday the Free Store in Hot Springs will be offering a bowl of soup from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Free Store is located on Orchard and 2nd.

Wild Horse Plains Back Country Horsemen meet

The Wild Horse Plains Back Country Horsemen meet at Plains High School on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. The first half hour is education and special speakers, then onto business. Visitors are welcome.

D.A.V. offers free rides

The Disabled American Veterans of Montana’s Volunteer Transportation Network is offering free van rides to and from VA scheduled appointments. Call 242-0217 for more information.

Serenity Group

The Pathway to Serenity Group meets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday and 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Clark Fork West Church at 75 Abba Lane.

TOPS 202 Meeting

Anyone interested in joining our group of about twenty is welcome. We meet each Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Harvest Community Church of God, 407 West 1st. We give guidelines for weight loss and current information about nutrition. Come join our friendly, accepting group or call 826-3592.

The weekly meeting for the Plainly Speaking Toastmasters Club is in the Family and Consumer Sciences room (Home Ec.) every Thursday at 7:00p.m.

Plains Community Market

The Plains Community Market at the Sanders County Fairgrounds runs every Saturday through September from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Training for potential foster and adoptive parents

Keeping Children Safe (KCS) is Child and Family Services’ basic program of preparation and initial training. The class will take place beginning October 1, 2013 (Tuesday) from 6-9 p.m. The class will run for 6 consecutive weeks at the same time. Location will be provided once families are registered, preregistration is required.

Fall Harvest Party

Trout Creek SDA Church invites you to a night of music, games and fun. Free to all, free food and hot apple cider. The party will take place on October 12 at 6 p.m. at the Langford Ranch in Trout Creek on Highway 200 around milemarker 34. Look for signs!

Plains Red Hatters

Plains Red Hatters will meet on Saturday 28th at Heather’s at 11:30 a.m. Come and share in the hats left to us by a dear departed member. Guests welcome!

Free Medicare 101 Classes Coming Soon

The Area VI Agency on Aging will be offering a free 3-hour Medicare 101 class at the Thompson Falls Community Center on October 10. The class will be held at 1-4 PM and again at 6-9 PM. The class is geared to those turning 65 and joining Medicare soon, but is open to anyone who finds Medicare confusing and would like some help understanding.
