Bluehawks bring home second place, Plains lands in thirteenth

BIGFORK – Both Sanders County golf teams traveled to Bigfork on Thursday, April 10 to face some tough competition. In a tournament involving 13 teams, the Bluehawk boys took second place with a total of 354, just short of first place by 19 points – beating everyone’s already high expectations.

Thompson Falls landed two boys in the top ten. William Gallivan with 80 took fourth place overall, while Caleb Bates took sixth place with 82. Both boys are expected to bring great things to the forefront of the Bluehawks’ season.

As for Plains, the boys took last place with 463.

The next invitational will take place in Ronan on Tuesday, April 15. During the Bigfork Invitational Ronan took ninth place with 412.

Hopes are high for the Bluehawks as they continue to dish out one strong performance after another.

Plains will host an invitational on Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. – their only home event.

The season is quickly winding down and the golf teams continue to eye the State Competition, which will take place at the end of May in Fairmont.
