MCPC offers bus transportation

| April 25, 2014 2:53 PM

SUPERIOR - The Mineral County Pioneer Council, Inc. (MCPC) is well known for being the primary public transportation service in Mineral County.

MCPC provides a comfortable bus that travels between Kellogg, Idaho, Plains, Missoula and other Montana cities. This bus also gives rides within the county on regularly scheduled routes allowing ample, timed stops with some curbside services.

Many citizens are not aware MCPC along with the western Montana Area VI on Aging, offers Respite Care to full time caregivers of senior residents over the age of 60 within Mineral County. This includes unpaid (ie: volunteer, family, friends, etc.) caregivers to promote breaks allowing for personal errands, appointments or for themselves.

The trained personnel providing Respite are hired through a Montana Licensed Home Healthcare Agency, reassuring clients and family of professional emergency preparedness while routine caregivers relax.

National Studies show that 60 percent of caregivers die prior to the person or persons for whom they are caring. It is strongly recommended that caregivers take care of their own health and personal needs as vigorously as they do their clients.

Additional information may be obtained by contacting the Mineral County Pioneer Council’s Vice President Laurie Fillo at 406-529-0128.
