Letter to the Editor: Proud to be American

I’ve been noticing a few more flags flying around the town of Plains. I hope that people take a few minutes every once in a while to realize just how fortunate we are to live under our read, white and blue flag.

Any person with their eyes open can plainly see that US of A is at a low spot in its history.

Lack of jobs, the economy in general, our standing around the world as a world power, etc. etc.

Our whole way of life seems to be in trouble.

Flying our flag at our homes, on our vehicles, on our clothing at least would show others that we care.

Maybe we could even try to buy flags that are made in the United States and not from China. Might even help things a bit.

How about an American made shovel, rake, water hose, vehicle, household appliance and so on.
