Syd Warbrick

Syd was the fifth of six children born to Frank and Mary Warbrick. Frank was a bridge builder and his family moved around the northwest until they settled in Paradise, Montana.

Syd joined the Air Force in 1952 at the age of 20 and was stationed in Cheyenne, WY * Goose Bay, Labrador* Spokane, WA* Tokyo, Japan and Washington D.C. He retired in 1974 serving his country for 22 years.

Syd brought his family to Hayden, Idaho in July of 1974 and worked many different jobs over the years. After retiring from the work force he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports and went to almost every game.

Syd enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, coin collecting, hunting trips with family and friends and tinkering.

Syd is survived by his brother Gyme Warbrick of Griffin, GA; his daughter Mary McCauley and husband Scot of Rathdrum, ID; his son Robert and wife Carol of Hayden, ID; Grandchildren Kristin and Hannah McCauley; Levi and Amy Warbrick and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary; Brothers Jack, Howard, Leo and Sister Helen (Walbridge).

Syd was the greatest Dad and Papa that ever lived and will be missed so very much by his family. He loved the Lord with all his heart and is now rejoicing with his Savior in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15th at Zion Baptist Church, 1527 E. 16th Street, Post Falls, ID 83854.
