DAV

The Disabled American Veterans Volunteer Transportation Network ( DAV) provides transportation to ALL rural Veterans FREE of Charge. Are you a veteran? Do you need a ride to Missoula, Helena?

Mineral County has nine volunteer drivers and one Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that no veteran is left without transportation. You do not need to be disabled to ride the van, Caregivers are allowed to travel with the veteran on approved medical appointments, and handicapped transportation is also available to our veterans. You need to make your appointments as soon as you receive your letter. Please call 241-2934 or 822-2213.

American Legion Post #13 St. Regis

GED Prep Course

Piano Lessons

Description: Piano lessons consist of learning the skills and techniques needed to facilitate a lifelong enjoyment of making music! Basic skills require practice and concentration but yield a wonderful sense of accomplishment when the results are achieved. If you would like to start or continue piano lessons, come talk to me!

OULA (dance fitness)

Description: OULA is one hour of high-octane, crazy-fun dance energy featuring sexy and fun movement to top 40s music. Mineral County Local Advisory Council (LAC)

The Mineral County Local Advisory Council (LAC) meets at noon on the first Tuesday of each month in the lower level of the Western Montana Mental Health Center, 405 Brooklyn Ave in Superior. The Mineral County LAC has been created to bring awareness to mental health in our community.

Mineral County Chamber of Commerce

Mineral County Chamber of Commerce meets the third Thursday of every month.

Mineral County Tea Party

St. Regis Sewer Board

The St. Regis Sewer Board meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of the month at the community center at 30 Lobo Loop.

Quilting guild

The Cabin Fever Quilters Guild meets the first Tuesday of every month. Call Sherill Christenson at 678-4240 for times and locations as they vary.

Superior Food Bank

The food bank is open 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. The Superior Food Bank, is located at the corner of Pine and 4th Avenue, and has changed alley entrance location.

RSVP for seniors

The retired Senior Volunteers Program for Mineral County will be holding office hours from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Tuesday each month in the St. Regis Community Center. RSVP recruits volunteers and matches them with nonprofit groups and projects to help out locally. There are some benefits. Contact Mary Jo at 822-2213.

DeBorgia Historic Schoolhouse Foundation

St. Regis Resort Board

The resort area board meets at 6 p.m. the second Monday of each month in the St. Regis Community Center. All meetings open to the public.

Cemetery District # 3

Alberton Food Bank

The food bank in Alberton is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

Mineral County Fair Board

Meetings are every 3rd Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the County Extension Office in Superior.

Montana Veterans Affairs are coming to Mineral County

The Montana Veteran Affairs Division is a State agency. The service officers are Roxanne Blanche, Andrea Knight and Sean Malcom. These officers are fully accredited and act as the representative for veterans before the Department of Veteran Affairs. We assist in the following type of claims: Service Connected Pension, Home Loan Certificate of Eligibility Applications, Non-Service Connected Pension,Widow’s Pension, Dependency Claims, DIC Claims,Healthcare Enrollment

One of these three officers will be available every 3rd Wednesday of the month ( December 18, 2013 ) to assist veterans and their dependents in filing claims and answering any questions they may have. They are available to assist you and answer your questions from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 102 River Street, Superior, Mt.

Due to the differing types of claims and how individualized these claims can be, we highly recommend that veterans see us with their specific questions to ensure the accuracy of answers. We could be happy to meet with you and assist you in any way we can.

Montana Nightriders Snowmobile Club

Join us for snowmobile riding fun and functions. All riders and families welcome.

We meet the first Saturday of the month from October-April at various places in the west end of Mineral County but this can vary so check our website montananightriders.com to confirm.

Workshop: Writing an effective business plan

A business plan is an essential roadmap for business success. This living document generally projects 3-5 years ahead and outlines the route a company intends to take to grow revenues.

Complete or refine your business plan, with an emphasis on understanding your market and developing financials. Each business plan component will be explained, along with information about additional re-sources that will be helpful in completing each section.

Director of Business Advising & SBDC in Missoula As Director of Business Advising and SBDC, Amita helps businesses with business planning, marketing, and growth strategies. Before Montana CDC, Amita worked for MT Credit Unions for Community Development as an AmeriCorps VISTA coordinator. Before her move to Montana, Amita earned her MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University and worked in commercial lending at Commerzbank in New York for two years.
