Bison Range to undergo winter road work

| January 21, 2014 2:18 PM

MOISIE - Starting Monday, January 27, 2014, staff at the National Bison Range will be replacing the cattleguard along the Winter Drive between the Mission Creek and Basin pastures.  Traffic will be prohibited from traveling beyond this point to the end of the Winter Drive.  Work may take up to two weeks.

Access along the Winter Drive to Mission Creek will be allowed during this routine maintenance.  Visitors will need to turn around at the designated location.  The turnaround area will be small, so large vehicles and trailers will not be allowed past the Corral Turnaround.  Trailers can be left at the Visitor Center for those wishing to travel to Mission Creek.  Please obey all posted signs.

The Refuge is open daily, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and no fees are charged.  The Visitor Center is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is closed weekends and Federal holidays.

You can learn the details about detours, closures, and public use hours by visiting the Bison Range website at www.fws.gov/refuge/national_bison_range.
