DOT looks for comments on culvert rehabilitation

| January 21, 2014 2:35 PM

SUPERIOR - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking comments on a proposal to rehabilitate a culvert crossing on Interstate 90 (I-90), between Superior and Alberton, MT in Mineral County.  The project is located at the crossing of Nemote Creek by I-90, at reference post 59.0, approximately two miles west of the Tarkio Interchange, and 1.3 miles east of the I-90 westbound Quartz Flats rest area.

Proposed work includes application of a spray-on structural liner that will inhibit further corrosion and prevent further deformation of the culvert.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in late 2014, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.

No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations will be needed.
