Dixon

Do you know that just a few miles down the road, on the way to Missoula (and when you get there) it’s been in the 40’s and bright sunshine? I was there at 45 deg, and by the time I got to Arlee it was 25! It’s often just the opposite and I’m in the “banana belt”, so maybe it evens out. Anyway, we’re heading closer to spring and I’m hoping if we’re going to get real winter, let it happen during the season! The trees and other plants are so gorgeous covered with frost--like a Christmas card.

A good time to come on over to Dixon for a meal out. The roads are clear and the food is delicious. Only $4 and you can take some home or to a neighbor. Here’s what’s coming up--Mondays at 5 p.m. and Thursdays at noon. See you there!

Thurs. Jan 30 Ham

Mon. Feb. 3 Tilapia (fish)

Thurs. Feb. 6 Burritos

Mon. Feb. 10 Baked chicken

Thurs. Feb. 13 Brunch-for-Lunch Quiche, Biscuits and gravy

News from Joyce Siers, who recently moved with husband Don to the Veteran’s Home in Columbia Falls. She is nicely settled in and is comfortably cared for with lots of people to interact with as desired. We all miss Don, who passed on lately, and are happy that Joyce has a nice place to stay, and near her family. She would love to hear from friends.

It’s almost February....the month of Presidents, Valentine’s Day, Groundhog’s Day, and other special days. My favorite month when I was teaching school.

Have a safe and interesting rest of the month!
