Obituary; Phyllis Marie Enderlein, Hazleton Archibald Damschen

Phyllis Marie Enderlein, Hazleton Archibald Damschen of Plains, MT  passed away peacefully on Friday May 30, 2014 at the age of 85 with family and friends at her bedside at Clark Fork Valley Hospital.

Memorial service will be held at the VFW hall in Plains on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Memorial and luncheon provided by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of which Phyllis was a lifetime member. She has requested cremation and her family will gather in the fall to place her ashes with her husband Donald Dewey Damschen who preceded her in death.

Phyllis was born in Missoula, Missoula County, Montana to Evelyn Margaret Erickson and Phillip Emanuel Enderlein on October 18, 1928. She  spent the majority of her adult life in Plains Montana and was involved throughout the community with Cub Scouts, VFW Auxiliary, and the Sanders County Fair. She was a friend to many and served them faithfully as long as she was physically able. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who prided herself on remembering all of their special occasions. She loved nothing more than bringing her family together. She would never turn down a game of cards and enjoyed traveling to visit family, spending several years traveling in her RV.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn, father Phillip, brother Robert Lynn Chilcoat of East Missoula, brother William Phillip Enderlein of San Francisco California, and husband Donald Dewey Damschen of Plains.

Phyllis is survived by her sister in law Eva Chilcoat of Bonner Montana,  her sons Harley Damschen of Billings, Montana, Mark (Sue) Damschen of Monument Colorado, Robert  (Debbie) Archibald of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Donald (Susan) Damschen of Plains, Montana, Darrell (Bonnie) Damschen of Bennett, Colorado and her daughter Rhonda (Dave) Killen of Zion, Illinois, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff of the Clark Fork Valley Hospital and Nursing Home for their loving care in her final days.
